Real English 12: Talking About Your Family

ລົມກ່ຽວກັບຄອບຄົວ

1. Pattern Discovery

 ຫຼາຍຄົນພະຍາຍາມແປຄຳສັບທຸກຄຳກ່ຽວກັບຄອບຄົວຈາກພາສາລາວເປັນອັງກິດ ກ່ອນຈະເວົ້າອອກມາ. ແຕ່ໃນຊີວິດຈິງ ຄົນເຈົ້າຂອງພາສາມັກໃຊ້ Pattern ງ່າຍໆ 3 ຮູບແບບນີ້:

Pattern A:

I have + family member (ຂ້ອຍມີ + ສະມາຊິກຄອບຄົວ)

Examples:

    • My father is a teacher. (ພໍ່ຂອງຂ້ອຍເປັນຄູ)

    • My mother is very kind. (ແມ່ຂອງຂ້ອຍເປັນຄົນໃຈດີຫຼາຍ)

    • My brothers are students. (ອ້າຍນ້ອງຊາຍຂອງຂ້ອຍເປັນນັກຮຽນ)

🔷 Pattern C:

We + activity together (ພວກເຮົາ + ເຮັດກິດຈະກຳຮ່ວມກັນ)

  • Examples:

    • We eat together. (ພວກເຮົາກິນເຂົ້າຮ່ວມກັນ)

    • We travel together. (ພວກເຮົາທ່ອງທ່ຽວນຳກັນ)

10. Pattern Reflection

Before moving to Lesson 13, ask yourself:

[ ] Can I talk about my family?

[ ] Can I describe family members?

[ ] Can I talk about family activities?

[ ] Can I connect multiple ideas together?

[ ] Can I speak about my family for one minute?

👉 If yes, continue. If not, practice again.

💥 Key Lesson Insight

Many learners know family vocabulary. Few learners can actually talk about their family. (ຄົນຮຽນພາສາອັງກິດຫຼາຍຄົນຮູ້ຈັກຄຳສັບກ່ຽວກັບຄອບຄົວ. ແຕ່ມີໜ້ອຍຄົນທີ່ສາມາດເວົ້າເລື່ອງຄອບຄົວຂອງຕົນເອງອອກມາໄດ້ແທ້ໆ).

Real English begins when vocabulary becomes communication. (ພາສາອັງກິດທີ່ແທ້ຈິງ ຈະເລີ່ມຕົ້ນຂຶ້ນ ກໍຕໍ່ເມື່ອຄຳສັບກາຍເປັນການສື່ສານ!)
